I don't know if anyone read the thread I started in the behavior section called "Cats and water", http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...ght=cats+water , but if so ... Anya did it again.

I got out of the tub this morning and started draining the water as I went into the bedroom to find some clothes for the day. I saw her run by me towards the bathroom so I went to go see what she was in such a hurry about. I rounded the corner to see her hop up on the side of the tub and then LEAP into the water (there was about 4 inches still). She bounced around in there for about 5 seconds or so (getting everything but her back and head wet) and then jumped out onto the rug and looked up at me with a look on her face that said, "Ok, dry me off now".

I dried her off as best I could, put a fresh towel on my bed for her to snuggle into and left for work. I called my sister on my way in to work and she laughed and said, "Well, she sees YOU get in there every morning. She just wanted to see what all the fuss was about." Silly cat...

That's pretty funny. Toulouse likes to get in the tub... but only if it's mostly empty... he just wants to drink the water.

Captain will sit on the side of the tub and meow at whoever's in the shower.

I think she's just having fun. She freaks out like any other cat if you're holding her and there's running water or something, but if she gets in of her own accord she's fine and dandy. I was going to take a pic to post of her all wet this morning, but hubby took our digital camera on his trip to San Diego.

That is so cute! Mine don't mind the water, but they've never been that exited about it!

I have got to ask, can you tell me how to pronounce Anyanka's name? I've never heard it before. I even tried to find some Bufy re-runs so I could hear it.

That helps tons! That is how I was saying it, but in my head, it didn't make sense(lets face it things always sound better in our heads

No coincidence. Definitely a Buffy reference. What better character to name a cat after than someone who is sometimes very quirky and naive and other times a vengeance demon?
