I know I don't have to tell you guys that my house, probably like most of yours, is covered in cat toys. I can't even estimate how much I've spent on cat toys in the 3 years or so since we adopted N & N. So why is it that I'm sitting here the other day watching Miss Nedicks play with a piece of KIBBLE?
That's right--house full of all kinds of exciting kitty toys, and she spends 15 minutes batting a stray piece of cat food around the dining room.

Silly Nedicks!

They do really know how to thank us for all these new fangled toys, don't they?!!

At the moment, my lot are having gallons of fun chasing the (cat friendly) packing peanuts around the room as the fan blows them!

Oh wow, that sounds like kitty heaven!

When I said to my husband, "She has zillions of toys, why would she play with the kibble?" he looked at me like I was some kind of a moron and said, "Because she's a cat. That's what they do." and shook his head. Silly me.

Oh, I know that face! At least it was just the strap. Mine like to play with the whole bra! I have to be very careful what I leave laying around...I'm afraid one day we'll have company and one of the kitties will come waltzing out into the living room dragging one of my brassieres behind them.

Oh I'm sure it is!
They just don't like it if I accidentally stand on one and I muct keep piling them in the middle of the floor!

That sounds like the kind of question I would ask too!

Oz has wandered around the apartment wearing my (clean) underwear on his head like a hat. Deliberately. I'm not sure why only my underwear gets this treatment, and not my boyfriend's, but whenever we have guests I have to make sure Oz doesn't have any "toys" lying around ...

Spike, meanwhile, is fascinated by empty cardboard boxes. He sits beside them and bats at the flaps, over and over again. We recently bought a new computer from Dell and it arrived in this huuuuuge box; Spike must think he's died and gone to kitty heaven!

I'm really not sure, since he does it when I'm not looking. (He's not actually allowed to play with my underwear ... He just does it anyway.) I think he must shove his face through the waist and then wiggle his way through until his ears poke out one of the leg-holes. It's ... interesting. The first time I saw him prancing around the apartment with my pretty panties on his noggin, I thought for sure my boyfriend must've put them there as a lark (he encourages our cats in other bad behaviour, like turning my expensive fuzzy socks into chew toys or trying to convince Spike to leap at my hair when it's in braids), but it turns out my boyfriend is actually innocent of the charge. Oz just likes wearing my underwear on his head.
That cat ain't right.

My boys are the same way

I got them all sorts of fun toys to play with, yet they enjoy playing with everything else! Brandi - Davidson was playing with the straps on my new bikini the other day - I took it away from him and he was mad too!

The thing that kills me tho, is that I bought them a nice little bed to sleep in - but do you know what they sleep in instead?

.... A SUITCASE!!

I have one in my closet that I find them sleeping in every morning - a hard, not comfy suitcase

Sometimes I don't understand

Forgot the time one of our cats got hold of this "white mouse" - aka a tampon.
It would play with used and new ones.

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I have a gold basket that sits in the corner of my living room with all her toys in it. Every morning I go around and pick up all the toys and put them in the basket, and every evening most of them are back out all over the house again! But she is the queen of playing with other things too. This past week I come home to find her on the couch with a cabbage patch kids diaper in her mouth, she was happily licking it away. And Saturday morning she came out of Jazzy's closet with a pair of shiny silver Barbie pants in her mouth, like "look what I found Meowmmy!"

Molly has an obsession with my Mooncup - especially when it's in it's little bag!
Good job most people don't know what it is!
