I am just in the process of buying a bengal stud cat. he will be with me by this weekend. He is a silver spotted, 18 months old, I am told he is active and unrestricted, what does that mean?
And can i only breed him with silver spotted bengals? ( he is a silver colour with silver spots) or any coloured bengal?
Am new to this so all advice gratefully appreciated!

I would suggest you ask the seller what they mean by "active and unrestricted". That isn't common breeder terminology in the U.S., so I can only guess that perhaps they mean he's whole (not altered) and you as the new owner are not restricted in anyway in regards to breeding and showing him.

You can breed a silver bengal to any other color bengal. There are no restrictions on color to color breeding on bengals. What feline association is your new male registered with?

You say he is silver color with silver spots? Do you mean black spots? Silvers are supposed to have black spots.
By the way, male cats who are not neutered usually spay urine. Do you have an area for him in case he is a sprayer? What female are you going to breed him with? Do you have one already? It just concerns me a bit that you are getting this full grown male and don't know much about the breed or breeding. Can the breeder help you with questions like this? Generally, the breeder who sells the cat to you will mentor you (if they are a good, reputable breeder).
