Does the weather affect births? I mean, it has been researched that more women have babies when the barometric pressure is low (stormy, rains, etc) does that hold true for animals too?

That is not a stupid question at all...weather does affect births..which is why you will find many more kittens born during the spring/summer/fall months than in winter (when cats are more interested in staying warm and surviving than having litters of kittens that tend not to survive outdoors). We have had clusters of people whose cats have given birth during storms.

First of all, that is not a stupid question at all. My females seem to have babies when its raining. In fact, my litter born in May was born during a thunderstorm, it had just started labor when it started raining.

Icis went into labor shortly after a good thunderstorm.
