Too Bizarre - Whiskers has given me "a kiss"

I am completely blown over. After owning Whiskers all these years, tonight, she jumped up on my lap, put both paws up on my shoulder and gave me 3 little licks on the cheek, jumped off and went to bed. It wouldn't be so strange (my neighbors cat licks me all the time non-stop, neck, ears, chin, etc....-she has a thing for perfume!) but.....Whiskers has never done anything remotely close to that. It made me smile. I thought it was the cutest thing ever. I feel like a proud mommy after her child takes her first step!!!!

Ahhhhhh, is that what it's called???? Being it was my 'first time', I am glad I know what it is now. Hope it's the beginning to many more!

How sweet! Fred gives me little "kitty loves" by rubbing his face on mine, but no licks.

I get little kisses all the time, on my arm especially, but years ago we had a cat who washed eyebrows. This was not just a perfunctory lick, but a thorough cleaning, complete with the closed eys that seem to indicate great concentration. I didn't feel insulted because he thought everyone in the family had dirty eyebrows!

Rowdy thinks that my chin and the tip of my nose need "washing". This is, usually between 4:00 and 6:00 a.m. Fortunately, for her, she accepts being pushed away and snuggles up, to sleep for a few more hours.

I don't get many "kisses" but I get nose pokes.... Xavier will press his nose to my arm and just sits there... Little weirdo...

Awwww. How cute! I'm trying to get Whiskers to repeat what she did but I think she thinks I'm crazy now. I've nuzzled and begged and pleaded for another kiss..........guess it'll happen when she feels up to it again.
