For those of you who (not sure how to put this, so please be patient with me!) channel your cats, how do you decide what they sound like?

I finally realised a few days ago, when someone posted a question on whether biographical or cute-kitty pov ads were better, why I haven't jumped in here.

I don't think I can channel my cats.

Now for the weird part (yep, that was JUST the lead up):

When I'm napping with my cats, sometimes I imagine myself as a kitty snuggling with her babies (I'm a grey cat, who thinks she's very big, but probably isn't). Does anyone else do something like this?

Would it be ok to talk not as one of my cats but as my 'inner' cat on the forum? This is a public space, so I don't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable - it seems like a fun place to hang, but I know I couldn't do my cat's justice and this seems like a compromise.

I speak as 8-Bit simply because he is the alpha in the house. In my imagination he is kind of like a bossy 6-year-old that is a bit to big for his own shoes. So his "voice" is kind of like a little kid.

If you would like to talk as your "inner" cat that would be fine by me. In fact you may be able to "hear" your own kitties the more you get in touch with that. I hope this helps.
