Okay- my new kitty comes home on Friday.
I was at the Vet today with my resident cat Sebastian who is 2. While we were getting him taken care I asked if he had any suggestions on how to maek introductions easier and how long to seperate etc.
He told me not to seperate them and just watch them and if either they will learn to like each other or they won't.
Anyone elses vet suggest this?
He also said the kitten will drive Sebastian nuts but all the advice and opinions I have read on this site suggest otherwise and that he is more likely to accept a kitten.
Obviously I am going to seperate them and follow the advice from people on this site who have done successful intros but his kitten comment got me a little worried.
Sebastian is still playful so has anyone else put a kitten with a 2 year and been fine? I can see him getting irritated sometimes like any big brother would but not to the extent where he won;t like him.
Thanks!
