My cat had 5 kittens about 5 days ago (unfortunitly the first one died at birth) however the other 4 are underneath my mothers bed and have been there since then. I was wondering how long until there eyes open and she stops guarding them and they can play with me and my family and such... Reply ASAP

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

Thier eyes and ears usually open between 6 and 14 days. If they are still shut, daily wipes with a warm cloth will help. As far as handeling. Some moms are different. It is usually best with moms and kittens to isolate them in just one room. I dont have a bed in the nursery, so it helps. You can handle them very carefully from the day they are born assuming mom does not try and take a hand off. Just do not pick the kittens up and walk off with them. Sit near mom while holding and petting.
