My cat needs to lose 3 pounds - has anyone used either of these products?
If so are you still feeding them?
Has your cat lost weight?

Yes, I am familiar with both of these catfoods. My Speedboat needed to lose weight. The vet put him on R/D until he lost the weight. The thing is, it is very important to feed the amount your vet says to feed and nothing else.
Both my cats now are eating the W/D formula to maintain the weight and also because they have had urinary issues in the past. According to the vet, this food helps with that problem. Good luck.

Are you feeding dry only. How long did it take for your cats to lose wt on the RD? I tried the RD once before but my cat's stools were very large in diameter. I was afraid she would eventually not be able to pass them, so I went back to the WD only. This time we're mixing WD & RD together.

Bijou was getting pretty large - 16+ lbs. I cut way back on the dry food and started feeding him a wet diet morning and night and he lost weight and is maintaining beautifully.

I think those foods (particularly the R/D) are very effective in helping those lose weight...however, you need to make sure that after the weight is lost, to switch back to a normal food immediately as R/D does not contain the right nutrients for regular maintenance.
