Getting used to her halter (and yes, she is halter trained)
how did you get her used to the halter? how long did it take? i got one for Java & one for Chip - they're the only two who seem interested in going outside...but i haven't tried to put Chip's on yet - Java was not really thrilled with hers! do you think it's something they have to start as kittens?

I think it was because I started putting it on her when she was between 2-3 months old and after the first time, she just tolerated it. We are having a horrible flea invasion, due to prairie dogs and an over abundance of rabbits, so I can't let her off the front deck. This is the first time in years that fleas have done this. The prairie dogs carry plague, and there is a cat in Cheyenne that has contracted it, so I'm very careful with Callie. She doesn't really like to walk with it on, but I can keep her by me and give her a bit of freedom. She really just wants to roll in the dirt!

That is darling, and thankfully I saw that one second; the first on I saw was her in her basket, and I about passed out from the wave of cuteness that hit me.

if you can t get your cat to accept a halter an H harness works well and does not feel as bulky

dont tget the figure 8 ones though, those can be dangerous

a well makde H halter worlked well for my blind boy snoopy

hte walking jacket upset him and maybe made hinm too ohot?
