Hello All,

I have been lurking on this site for a few months , and thought that it was about time to register and get involved.

My name is Sparkle/Angela and I have a cat named Willie. I adopted Willie from a shelter in November of 2001. He is 4 years old, black, DSH. I was worried about how we would make the transition, but there have been no problems whatsoever. Willie has been friendly and outgoing since the day I bought him home. He only stayed under the bed for a few hours! I was also concerned because Willie was declawed by his previous human. I had heard that this could cause personality problems. That hasn't been the case, but Willie will not let me clip his rear toenails...I have to take him to the vet for that.
I was searching for some answers because Willie is my first and I didn't want to make too many mistakes. So much of what I've read here has been helpful, and I look forward to being a part of this

I'll be sure to post pictures after I get them scanned.

Hi, Sparkle!(Angela) I like your nickname! I'm so glad you adopted Willy. Aren't black cats beautiful? It's a shame someone declawed him, but what's done is done. So, you've been lurking? Good! Now you know we don't bite! I'm glad you got some good information. Please share some stories with us. Welcome!

I hope that Sparkle has something to do with my personality! It was also a character in an obscure movie I love.

I love obscure films. What film is Sparkle from?

Welcome - by the way, (forgot my manners again!!!)

Hope you enjoy it here.

The movie is titled "Sparkle" also. It stars Irene Cara (from the movie fame) as one of three sisters trying to start a singing career. It can get kinda cheesy, but the soundtrack is phenomenal!

Thanks for the warm welcome.
