I'm sorry to be so cat-tarded, but this is the first cat I've had since i was 16 and I'm almost 50! She is totally a house cat and I have NO intention of ever having her de-clawed. She uses her clawing post and never bothers the furniture.

My question is...the fur that grows between their toes...her's is long and sticks out past the pad of her foot. I used to trim it off when she was tiny. Is it ok to leave all that fur there?

I don't think it would cause any problems. It does make the animal look more esthetically pleasing. =P

About half of my grooming clients have it scissored off and the other half like me to leave it- other than tracking litter it doesn't matter. It's just hair.

Yes you can leave it there. It makes it a bit harder to trim nails at time cause you have to part the fur (I owned a turkish angora
). And you might have to check paws after in the litter box so no litter is sticking to the fur.

But if your cat is cooperative, you can take a pair of small scissors and still trim it if you want.
