Hello everyone! I'm Vincent, from the Philippines, I'm new into cats.

My mom's officemate just gave her a cat, an American Shorthair,I named her Hades since she's really black. I've always wanted to have a pet and what a good opportunity to have a cat, since I always feed the native cats who come passing by our backyard everyday for food.

She was quite timid for the 1st day, and keeps hiding on the dirty corners, the 2nd day (today) I got her own Litter box and food tray and some food. She's quite not that timid now, had to buy her some toys to play with though. Thanks.

Some pics btw:

Hmmm well I did have a couple of Siberian hamsters before but it was taken care by my friends since nobody's home during the majority of the day.

I'm planning to bring her to a vet soon so I can get more tips, I'm quite concerned when she licks her fur after going to dusty places, though she doesn't do that now unlike yesterday when she was very timid. It's her 2nd day on the house and she's doing well, though I still have to keep watch on the door screens or she might run away. We don't get much help like locating lost pets here in the Philippines, heck I don't even think there's some group here that works like ASPCA that I watch on TV.

I'm wondering if Hades would come back if ever she gets out of the house. I pray that if she gets out she'll come back. Anyone can give a hint on this?

Her eyes went blue in this pic due to camera flash.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

My mom told me she saw hades early morning with the Zoids (plastic model toys I collect) atop my PC table, dang I better relocate those guys. And the bigger problem is the phone lines and power lines, cats seem to like playing with those. And there's a lot of them just around the house, we have a very small house so it's chuck full of lines, I better think about this soon as well.

Hades is doing very good right now. Thanks for the warm welcome. Heheh I could still remember using a crow bar to get her out of underneath the fridge (don't worry we didn't used the curved side, just the flat side to make her move out, just like a see-saw, coz it's freaking dirty underneath the fridge) and now she slept in my bed and I had to sleep in the other bed coz she keeps scratching me when I have the blanket.
