Hey everyone
, I first came here a few months ago, I haven't been here in a while though.

Recently I got a new kitten, her name is Missy. =^-^= Say hi,

She was 8 weeks old when we got her, and already litter trained.

She had some new cat shyness problems at first, but now she's warmed up to us. We've had her for 3 weeks now, and I really love having her around.

She is such a cutie. =^-^= Right now we're trying to nip bad behavior in the bud with a squirt from the water bottle. But she generally behaves pretty well. She's going to be an inside kitty.

One thing I discovered pretty quickly is that she loves blueberry waffles. I've eaten other things around her before, but the first time I had waffles near her, she would not leave me alone until I gave her a little piece.

The first night we had her she laid on my chest and I put her to sleep singing along to the Roy Orbison special on tv.

I can't wait to get the pics we have of her developed and scanned so I can show them off.
But for now I can describe her.

She's gray, and from the bottom of her chin down she's white. Her eye color is starrting to become more defined, and they look brown.

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Missy sounds beautiful and such little darling, I'm really looking forward to her photos!
I would hesitate to use the spray bottle as a means of discipline for your little girl. There are many techniques using positive reinforcement instead.

I don't like doing it, just saying "Missy No!" usually works, but if she won't listen after the first couple times I'll go to the sprayer. Don't worry though she doesn't get soaked, just a shot to let her know she shouldn't be doing that.

It's nice to meet a fellow night owl, hopefully we can chat about our kitties more in the future.

Welcome Tigerblue! Missy sounds adorable, can't wait for pictures!

AmberThe Bobcat- your usertitle says 3 bobcats, 1 cougar and 5 domestics :O Wow, I didn't know people actually owned bobcats and cougars as pets!! Do they get along with the normal domestic cats? Do they roam around the house, or have to stay in cages/pens. Are they cuddly, or more as you would expect, kind of wild and crazy ? :p Sorry for all the questions but I'm fascinated!

Yes, there are people who own these types of cats, but it takes a huge responsibility to do so. Yes, they do get along with our domestics, but they are supervised, so they do not play to rough with them. They have free run of our house, sleep in bed with us, but they also have a secure outdoor enclosure for them to go into as well. They are cuddly, but the bobcats can have an attitude at times, where you can cuddle with them only when they want you to. Carmelo, our cougar, is very loving and always wants to cuddle. He always wants to groom me as well. Don't worry about the questions, you can ask me anything about them
