Hun your cat needs a vet exam and attention. The brownish slime may be older blood tinged mucous (I say "may" because I'm not there to see it in person...none of us are, so we really can't help..even if a vet tech here responds).

The distension of the rectum - has your kitten passed any stool recently? How old a kitten, and how long have you had it?? Honestly, if this kitten can't pass stool, you could lose it. This isn't, from what you describe, something to watch or to try and take care of at home. Please...find an er vet, call them and see if they feel you can wait until Monday or if you should get the kitten in today (my feeling? today - treat it as an emergency).

My opinion, my strong opinion.

Please come back and let us know what the vet has to say and how your kitten is doing?

It could be that the kitten has diareah with mucous in it. He does need to be seen by a vet ASAP.

I hope you have gone to the vet, he or she is truly the only person who can help based on your post

I don't know where you are located, but surely there is a 24 ER Vet Clinic nearby?

nope, not one. beau's doin better and as i found out later yes there was a mucousy sort of goop, but around his tail was more of a darker beige. he has been going to the bathroom and it seems more like a dark liquid. the last time i saw a kitten with bad diahrea it died that night but beau's displaying none of the same signs. besides i bought my kitten ata shop and he lasted a day. beau's running around and causing trouble as always and hasnt walked on his wrists whatsoever, which i take as a great sign. yes we're going to call a vet and find the funds necessary, unfortunately we have to wait till monday. ill keep u posted and tyall for helping, my fiancee and I appreicate it a lot

It is very, very important that you take your kitten to the vet on Monday. Severe diarrhea is very debilitating for small kittens and they usually don't show signs of not feeling well (e.g. loss of appetite or not wanting to play) until they are critically ill and in imminent danger of death. It is absolutely essential that you seek vet treatment as soon as possible.
