Got up this morning to my cat being sick, and it looked like something I should of been finding in the litter tray. Like a little log (sorry!)

She hasn't been in any sort of pain, or crying, anything like that. Just asleep on my bed then next thing I know she's outside my door being sick.

She's gone out now as the experience didn't seem to bother her, but hasn't had anything to eat today (yesterday she wouldn't stop eating, had about 5 bowls of food compared to the other cats only having 2).

I know stuff that cats bring up is never pleasant and I hope it turns out to just being me being paranoid.

Have you still got it?. This will sound awful but if you have put on some rubber gloves and pull it apart and you may find that it's a hair ball that she's threw up.

Has she also been wormed recently?.

sounds like a hair ball to me. i have a large long haired black cat who is constantly licking and groooming himself. every few months or so i find what i think is a turd lying there on the livingroom floor. get a closer look and it's just a bunch of yucky hair (that just looks like a turd)

Actually if it's just plain vomit it's not all that unpleasant....cat vomit isn't as nasty as human vomit. So if it's as you describe, most likely it's a hairball. As the others mention, you can tell it's hair if you look close enough. When a cat vomits something unpleasant-looking and smelling, there's also a tiny chance of a bowel obstruction, but since she's acting normal, that doesn't seem likely.

I'd suggest the first thing is to give some hairball remedy.

If it's a tube, then it's a hairball and/or regurgitated dry cat food. It's a little gross but no big deal, and not a sign that your cat is having a health problem. Don't worry.

Is the cat longhaired? If so, I would agree that it most likely is a hairball. I've not had a shorthaired cat that ever threw up a hairball.

I agree on what to do.. I do think fresh cat urp is very very very disgusting though! Speaking as someone who cleaned it this morning.
