Oh, how precious! Thanks for taking Marigold in and caring for her!
A pointer I learned here at TCS is that the kittens little claws can catch in the loops of a towel. So better to put a pillow case over towels or newspaper. You need to put fresh bedding in after the delivery is complete anyhow.
Only 1 girl....typical....LOL! My girls tend to have mostly boys too. In my very first litter I was hoping for a girl and what did my queen do.....she had 4 boys......but I wouldn't change anything now....she is a good momma and it looks like your Marigold is too....
dId Marigold have just 4? The 4 of them are beautiful i have 4 orange tabby's all males i love them to death i dont want to get rid of them but my husband says we dont need to have all of them when there is a few loveing people that want them lol
Looks like two red males. Two cream males. And one cream female. How am I ever going to tell the boys of each color apart? They're even pretty similar in size and weight.
Obviously we have a cream colored tom running around somewhere in the neighborhood. I will find him and trap him and neuter him and put him back!!!!
Mom is resting fine on her fresh bedding and the kittens are all nursing happily. The heaviest kittens weighed 100 grams each, the smallest are 86 grams each... so no very undersized kitties. All of the placentas are accounted for.
Pics will be forthcoming when all the kittens are dry.
Just adorable! As for telling them apart...sometimes once they are dry, you see little differences, often in their faces or tails. Sometimes they really just look identical, though! I have fosters with a spot of nail polish on one ear, because they are basically identical.
Congratulations Marigold you did an AWESOME job. Ooooh she has beautiful beautiful babies! That is so AWESOME!! And they all look perfectly fat and healthy!
What a big difference last time I checked the post she only had two
