internet sites to protect women from online losers

What do you think about these websites? www.dontdatehimgirl.com and/or www.true.com
Don't Date Him Girl is being sued directly by an atty. who's ex falsely accuses him of giving her STDs.
imo, he should be suing the ex, not the site. i think that these sites are great tools for ladies who are online dating, esp. the true.com which screens for felons & married men. i imagine that there will be a backlash from men who have gotten away with so much for years. For instance, i know personally that someone on match.com lied about his income, marital status, bankruptcy status (oh, and forgot to mention the state's after him for back child support) - his profile was so charming that one of my best g-friends was going to respond, and happened to show me his pic Another g-friend was so happy, and things were serious, when she paid $40 for a background check and found out her almost-fiance had a history of embezzlement in Colorado. Why can't guys just be honest

Frankly, the sites seem too gender-biased. How many guys have been "done wrong" by women?

Exactly. Women can be SO deceitful.

When I was 18 I got online on some of those dating sites. I got a lot of 50 something year old men responding. I was really surprised because I thought if they are 50 something year old looking for 18 year olds they would lie about their ages, but they didn't.

They actually seemed kind of charming, but I had my heart set on a virgin.

True, but statistics still show that men cheat more often and that 80% of the partners who seek help to improve/rescue a relationship are women. i do think that is changing, as i have read articles (in the L.A. Times) that say that younger women are discarding the older notions about relationships and sex. One article was about the growing trend of younger women dating men that they know are married; there are some girls who think it makes sex more exciting because it's fun having something that belongs to someone else; plus they mentioned the attention & gifts/money without the hassle of commitment as being a plus - so, I have to concede, that times are a-changing, and not always for the better

This is good. I agree that the Ex should be suing his ex-girlfriend rather than the site: PROVIDING the site explicity says that they do not have control over who posts what.

If they don't then, they could be held liable.

Otherwise I think these sites are good ideas. I knew someone that dated a guy she met online for 9 months...til she found out that he was still married and the "Ex-wife" didn't know anything about a divorce. He was using his friend's house (who was in Europe during that time) as "His" house. It was crazy. She ever divorced her husband to be with him.

Anyhoo, there are just way too many creeps out there.

I admit that I might be biased, but I have no problem with sites like these. It seems like there are many more sites out there that are degrading or in some way negative toward women.
