A little worried.. more about adoption.

Yesterday I took the adoption application to the shelter, and the lady I talked to said they needed 24 hours to approve it, and then we'd hear back from them. Then she said a lady was coming in to see the kitten I wanted to adopt, but since I filled out a form and the other lady hadn't, she wasn't sure who would get first choice. I gave her mom's cellphone number, since I'm not 18 yet, so she might have tried calling her, but I haven't heard anything, and when I went to the shelter website, the kitten I wanted to adopt wasn't listed anymore. I wonder if the other lady got to adopt her.. ? I really hope this isn't the case..

I hope you get the kitten! I know that our shelter's policy is whoever fills out the application first has priority, then we go down the list. Let us know as soon as you hear!

I do have a little bit of news.. but I don't know if she's ours for sure. Mom e-mailed me from work and told me the shelter called.. and when I was on the website, one of her littermates was also removed. So I'm thinking we did get the kitten, and maybe the lady adopted a littermate? I asked mom what they said, and I'm waiting for a reply. I'm about ready to call her because it's taking forever, and I realllly wanna know.

So I called.. and I am getting veryyy excited.. she said they left a message asking her to confirm the adoption, and so she called back and left a message saying that she was okay with it. So I'm guessing this means she's officially ours.. ? I'm so excited!

I'm not sure when I'll get her.. I'm hoping I can go get her tomorrow? Mom said she thinks that you can bring them home for a while before they get spayed and everything else. I'm sure furpics will be flooded with pictures once she's here..

She doesn't have a name yet (the shelter calls her "Spice", but I might give her my own name).. I'm having a really hard time deciding. If you or anyone else has anymore suggestions, go ahead.

I can't wait!
