I thought I'd share a few pictures of our sweet PJ girl that we lost a few years ago to cancer. She had 12 wonderful years of happiness with us.
We miss her

this was just after the surgery to try to remove a tumor

A few months later it returned. The vet suggested amputation, but hubby just couldn't put her through that at her age.

Let's see some of you special angel kitties.

Aww.. PJ is adorable.
I'm sure she's happy at the bridge with my Sassy. She lived 11 years, and ended up with cancer, too. She was a siamese. Here are a few pictures of her.

Rest in peace, Rainbow Bridge kitties.

Awwww, all these precious TCS fur babies are all playing chase together like they've never played chase before, not forgetting that their sharing their furry mice and ping pong balls while the angels dangle the cat dancers and the feather wands for them until their owners are able to take over

Here's our boy Byron. He got bitten by a brown snake in Australia a couple of tears ago. He was just such a cool cat, he ALWAYS came running to greet us whenever we got home, and he never seemed to leave the backyard - he was always close by. So we knew something was dreadfully wrong when we called him and he didn't come. After 5 minutes of calling we went searching for him and doorknocking. We found him the next day dead
The worst thing was I realised I had actually been there when he got bitten by the snake. He and the cat who lived behind us were playing in some bushes, and heard a car shriek and looked up and figured one of the cats had played a bit too hard with the other one, and our Byron came racing out of the bush and was acting quite strange - leaping in the air and twisting his body around, and the other kitty was kind of following him, just watching him. I was in a rush to get going, so thought nothing of it and finished changing my bike tyre (I was running late for a cycling session I was helping coach), and raced off.

I realised the next day when we found Byron and guessed what happened that this was when he got bitten - that's what the shriek was. I broke down in tears and was inconsolable for ages when I realised I could have done something. Him leaping in the air was from the venom going through him. He ran down the side of the house, and that's where we found him the next day.

A brown snake bite is generally lethal for humans without immediate treatment, so for a small cat, we wouldn't have had much time, but I wasn't even there with him, I was too busy changing my stupid tyre.

To make it worse, the neighbour behind us (the owner of the other cat), poked his head over the fence to ask if we'd found him just as we were burying him, and we said we thought it may have been a snake bite, and the guy said "oh yeah, there's been a brown snake hanging around the last couple of days"!!!! I mean, GEES you'd let your neighbours know!! What if it was us cutting back that bush?? If I knew such a deadly snake was about, I would have pulled the cats back as soon as I saw them in the bush!

Sorry.... still painful memories, and still a lot of anger and guilt in me

I would have an afternoon nap pretty regularly after a big bike ride, and he would always come and snuggle up with me.

Here is my precious Snoopy. He crossed over at age 20 a year and a half ago. I know he lived a nice long life, but it didn't make it any easier losing him. He was my best friend in the world, and I had him longer that my entire adult life. Life will never be the same without him.

The first picture was when he was young and in his prime of life. What a handsome boy he was.

The next picture is of Snoopy as the stately old gentleman at the age of 19

I'm sorry were you directing that to my comment of her cat living a long life??

I just meant that usually cats don't live that long...and it was good that she had him till he was 20
