Rest in peace, little baby angels.

I got a call this afternoon.. from a lady out in the country.. saying a barn cat had disappeared.. leaving two 4 day old kittens. They hadn't had anything to eat since yesterday.

I told her to bring them in immediatly, and gave her directions to my house, and she offered to buy 5 or 6 cans of KMR, to help with the upbringing.

But she called about an hour later, saying she went out to get the poor things ( I am assuming she left them in the barn.. which is stupid.. but, whatever) and found them covered in flies.
She rushed them to her vet, and he found that they were infested with maggots, and were near death. So he offered to euthanize them for no charge.

Poor little babies.. weren't even able to see what the world looked like. Didn't even have a chance to live.

So rest in peace, sweet little angels.

Oh bless their little hearts They may not have been given the chance to see here on earth but their being well nursed over at Rainbow Bridge right now by all the adult kitties

Play happily over the bridge with all the other kittens sweeties

Godspeed over RB, little angels. And bless the vet who chose to end their suffering without charging a fee - and to you, leto, for not hesitating to take on newborns. Surely the love shown to these babies here on earth was the light to their path over Rainbow Bridge.

I'm very sorry these poor little babies had to leave this world so soon. May they now rest in peace...
