New pics of Roxie the kitten!

Well, at least to sleep on Sam's Choice Cola boxes.

How cute is this.

I found her like this just this afternoon. The cola box was by the trash waiting to go out, and it was in the ONLY sunny square in the house (sun through the skylight)

I HAD to take a picture.

She is 8 weeks old now, 2.6 lbs. Whe have had her since she was 5 weeks old. I rescued her from a woman giving her and her siblings away at Walmart in 90 degree weather. No food, no water. Just her and her 5 kids and skinny, weaned-to-early, panting kitties.

She's come a long way.

I know. me too. I when we got her there was one other kitten being claimed. Roxie was the last. Both I and the other woman were calling our SO's to get permission to bring them home. The mom wasn't up for giving away. Evidently the woman owned all the cats involved in the making of the babies. I urged her to get them altered. Told her there are just too many kittens out there and not enough good homes.

I live in a real po-dunky area and I worry that the other kittens went to po-dunky homes that will be less than responsible. But there is nothing I could do. The other woman there looked responsible, and the fact that she was calling her Husband to see if it was ok, kind of told me that she is respectful of others, and didn't want to take the kitten and then have to turn around and give it away again. One can hope.

She is so cute!! I love the name Roxie for her too!
