So I noticed a few days ago that I had a foreigner sprouting in my flower bed.

I didn't immediately recognize it as a weed, so I left it.
Well, today, it is very recognizable, it's a shammrock of all things!

So I tell Jeremy, and what do you think his response was?

"You'd better pull it"

What? It's a shammrock, not a clover!
He thought they were one in the same.
I had to explain to him that shammrocks are very beautiful plants and I'm quite happy to have it in my flower bed.
But I wonder how it got there lol

Well, technicly, both are clover, but common white and red clover are invasive and thought of as weeds (unless you keep bees).

Shammrocks are smaller and have a petaled flower, clover is larger and has a cluster type flower.

I know what you are talking about, the shamrock's have those purplie/violet like flowers and the clovers have the 'fuzzy' flowers. Course before today I never knew there was a difference.
