Please send prayers and good vibes for our cat JD...He has been missing since last night which is not at all like him. He gets out occasionally (H'es very sneaky) but he usually comes back within an hour or so and only stays in front of the house. My sister let him out so I didn't know to stay up and look for him. I am so upset
. To make matters worse, I saw our town animal shelter van riding around our neighborhood. I am about to call them now. Please send good thoughts.

Thank you!

Thanks for your reply Katie,

No, he doesn't have a collar and he isn't microchipped. Since he is an indoor cat, I stupidly didn't think of doing either of those things.

I just called our town animal shelter and they said that they don't pick up cats...That there is no law against free-roaming cats. He took all of my information and will call if anyone brings in a cat that fits his description.

Thanks again,

JD just came back home. I have been sitting outside for over four hours and then I just heard his high pitched squeal that he calls a meow
and then he came sauntering up like nothing was wrong! I am so happy!

I guess all of the advice on lost cats is true. They are usually closer than we think, hiding until it is safe to come out.

Thanks!

Ok...time to get JD microchipped and provide him with a breakaway collar. I know you will keep him indoors only..but since we cannot forsee the future...better to spend the money to ensure that he does return to you if picked up by someone else.
