There really just someething about eating a fresh out of the garden tomato. I just ate one. Yes I know its early to be ating tomatos but I couldn't take it anymore. It was just sitting there on my desk. Now its gone. Does anyone else just love veggies out of your own garden or a friends garden?

Tomatoes fresh out of the garden rock! I remember going into my mom's garden as a kid, pulling them off the vine and eating them like apples. Green beans were good that way too...raw and right off the vine.

Ooh I'm making myself hungry

The only tomatoes I really like have to be right out of someone's garden.

I love green beans right from the garden. I don't like tomatoes so I don't eat the ones from the garden unless they are cooked into something.

I love tomatoes out of the garden! Unfortunately, I didn't get mine planted this year, so I hope my friend has a bumper crop.

I never thought about it, but you're right! The zucchini in my mom's garden were always huge.

The only down side to that was we were eating zucchini/mushrooms/onions/parm cheese every day for weeks. I love zucchini, but that gets a bit boring after day 4 or so

My grandpa used to bring over those monster zucchinis and I would make six loaves of bread from just one
warm zucchini bread with lots of butter
haven't had that in years!!!

I have lots and lots of tomato plants as I make my own spaghetti sauce, paste, salsa etc....
What is good is carrots right from the garden-wipe the soil away and just eat them. Fresh peas too!!

We had our first picking or green beans today, and I did my first jar of Dill Pickles yesterday and the cherries are nearly ready for the cherry brandy.
