I finally got a new camera after I dropped my old one...

Here's a few pics of Topanga "the panther kitty"

We got her a wonderful cat tree and she loves it. She's now 4 months old.
We rescued her when she was 5-6 weeks. My husband found her at his work in the engine compartment of a car.

She has some faint Tabby type stripes on her back legs and neck area. Do you think they will show more as she gets older?

What a doll!
I've always liked black kitties.

You will probably always see faint ghost markings of her tabby-ness.
Direct sunlight will redden her fur and make them more visible, but age by itself shouldn't.

I assume the ficus are fake?
I know my ficus would drop all of it's leaves if you looked at it too hard lol

thanks, yes the ficus are fake. It completes her tree and gives her something to paw at. She's having fun knocking all the years of dust off the leaves...LOL

Poor girl gets spayed next Monday. She's already been in heat and it's driving us and the 2 dogs crazy.

She is a beauty! Topanga is a very unique and nice name, as well. She looks like a black goddess! Takes photos nicely and her coat is lovely! What are you feeding her?!

thanks everyone

I think her food is Purina pro-plan. Silly girl doesn't like canned food. She will lick the gravy but not eat the slices.

Shes adorable! I must say you took some really good photos too. Black kitties are hard to get quality pics of. Stormy's pics never do her beautiful fluffy chocolate/black coat any justice. It makes me sad because she is the only fluff butt we have... the rest are short hair but in her pics she looks like she has short hair too.

Anyway im rambling... Nice pics of your beautiful little gal! Lucky girl too with the tree to play with. Does she pull the leaves off? Our Samuel lives to attack fake roses and plants. He will pull off the roses and walk around with them in his mouth like he wanted to Tango with his girl Angie. hehe

she is a beautiful girl. When hubby found her I was a little disappointed that she was solid black, but I feel in love with her within a few hours.
I never expected hubby to want another cat after our PJ passed away about 3 years ago. She was 12 and we had to let her go because of cancer. She was a beautiful girl. She had the markings of a Turkish Van.
Here's our sweet PJ girl we miss so much

Topanga does play with the ficus quite a bit, but she's more facinated with paper. I scrapbook and she is always in my trash bin running off with tiny pieces of paper. She's like a tiny thief. Yesterday she took off with a pair of my underwear

this is how she looked when we brought her home
