Lily & the heatwave

Our smallest baby has found the heatwave a bit trying at times. She tried stretching out on the cool tiles....lying in front of the fan....even having Mum and Dad blow cool air over her paws (the things we do)

In the end - she found the perfect way to cool off



A lovely cool ice cube in a dish . She would sit for ages just licking the ice cube

Lily is such a smart little girl to figure it out. Where is her brother Tolly? Is Lily trying to prove that girls are smarter than boys?

Way to go, Lily! You're very smart to figure out that ice cube. Tell mommy and daddy to put another tray of ice cubes in the freezer so they'll be ready when you need them

It's a good way to get extra water too. And you look so cute in the picture.

You know Susan - I tried putting ice cubes in her water and she just sat there and looked at it . As soon as I put the ice cube in a dish on its own, she wouldn't leave it alone

You've got that right Stephanie - Lily certainly is a pampered kitty

Lily says there's no contest - she doesn't even need to prove it - Tolstoy didn't even try to compete

Until we put the ice cube in a dish on it's own, she wouldn't even touch it. Put it in her water and she isn't interested in the slightest - contrary kitty!

Thank you Purrpaws - Lily has Daddy well trained - he has a supply of ice cubes ready and waiting

They need kitty-sized sno-cones !

the heat here is horrible for T&K
I put ice cubes in their water bowl and kaylee just played with it, not even 5 mins later the ice cubes were melted!
