Thinking about, maybe, an Irish meet up?

Hey all -

I was thinking of maybe starting to organise an Irish meet up if people were interested. It wouldn't been straight way - I'm guessing that for most people (myself included) some notice is always best.

I'm thinking maybe mid September or October? Two months seems like enough time for people to decide if they would like to go, for people to get to know each other a little bit, etc.

I was thinking of locations that would be central (ish) so that people wouldn't have to travel terribly far.

1. Dublin - good if most of our members are in or near Dublin, even though it isn't actually central. Would count as central if any UK members were interested in popping over to meet us, though.
2. Galway - not really central either, but a good choice if there is a lot of northern interest.
3. Limerick - equidistant (ish) for Cork, Galway and Dublin.
4. Cork - only really a good choice if all member interest is for the south.

When posting a reply, please let me know when and where would best suit you - feel free to list several options (in order of preference, please) and make suggestions to other times or locations.

Wish I lived in Ireland............

There were some suggestions about a worldwide meet up - that would be cool if it happened (though it would require serious notice for most people!)

Anyway, this meet up (should others choose to accept the mission) is for everyone - it just happens to be taking place in Ireland.

If you are ever visiting, we could meet up.

Bump - so that GMT people who mainly check their mail at work will get a chance to see this.

Seriously, I hope you have a great time here.

Thanks! We'll be staying in Dublin nearly the entire time (unless I can convince him to rent a car and go travel outside of the city, to see some countryside). I hope the meet-up is a success, whether I go or not.
