Ripley usually either sleeps in his carrier or sprawled in the middle of the floor. For some reason, he has been hanging out under the furniture today. He is now asleep under my youngest son's bed.
The last time he did that, a series of severe storms that included tornadoes came through here. That was a few weeks ago.

Any ideas? He's eaten his food today. I cleaned his litter box and didn't see anything weird in there. He was playing last night and was basically up half the night too. (I was up quite a bit with my kids and Ripley seemed to think it was time to either eat or play all night long
)

Thanks for any tips.

Hi, I've had lots of cats for decades, and one thing I can count on is that cats will, over weeks or months, change their favorite flopping place! They may return to old ones at some point, but also move on to new ones, often going through 10+ in 5 yrs, or 5 in one year, and I've stopped trying to figure out 'what's wrong', because I realize that nothing is, they just get bored and want a change, so I let them alone and everything's fine. Often they'll move in on each other's places, and there's a territory scuffle for a while, but once the point's been made will often leave after 1-2 nights and find another place. It's just another cat thing and I no longer obsess about those because I'll go nuts if I do :-).
