My grandson bought new pants ( Dickies) and he said there way to big in the legs , just the inseam part. I can sew but I never thought pants look right when you do that, I think they really do feel big because he's used to jeans, anyone have any hints? He just got a new job at the Barnes and Nobel Book store...

I can't sew! I send all my sewing to a friend's Mom who is great at sewing. But I do know that kids wear clothes really big, so I don't see how the legs could be too big, if the rest of the pants fit?!? Maybe he should return the Dickies, and just get a different brand of pants!

That's what I told him
they are so stubborne, they wear them so baggy you can see there butt, but he didn't want the legs to big
go figure
I don't know if that's what they told him he had to have or what...

The pants would not look right if you sewed a searm all the way around. It would put the crease in the wrong place, off center. Tell him exchange them for just some casual khakies of another brand name.

I agree that moving the seam will off-center the crease. My husband wears Dickies and they are baggy in the thigh, IMO. Maybe your grandson could try Dockers, although to me, they also seem big in the hip & thigh (great for middle-aged men
).
BTW, please tell him congratulations on his new job at Barnes&Noble - if it were me, I'd prob. be tempted to spend the paycheck at work

I know he probably will be tempted, he likes to read weird stuff like Edger Allen poe
but he's a musician, song writer, potery writer, singer. And he wats to be a physiologist
But what I don't get is they don't care if the pants are falling off there hinie
even with a belt, soooo why would the legs matter. I think he's torked at me a bit
because I told him I can sew but they won't look right, he must have went alone to get them Mom was working, I'm wondering if he tried them on...I am not even sure if they told him that's what he needed to get or not. Oh well He'll call when he needs food or Money
