What is your opinion about this company and specifically this food's ingredients.
It looks good to me.

Castor & Pollux Natural Ultramix Indoor Feline
Special Needs: Indoor
Special Needs: Holistic
Special Needs: Natural

Superior Protein Sources
Natural chicken is #1 on our ingredients list with five additional highly bioavailable proteins for optimal digestibility and great taste. Specially formulated to promote wellness, help avoid unwanted weight gain and maintain lean muscle mass.
Natural Fruits & Veggies
Pure, wholesome fruits and vegetables provide valuable nutrients, vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidants for your cat. We simply dry the carrots, bananas, papaya, apples and blueberries and then blend with the Ultramix kibble. Don't be fooled by other diets that feature fruits and veggies in the ingredients list - you can't even see them in the kibble! And because they're usually processed under high heat they retain only minimal nutritional value...not so with NATURAL ULTRAMIX!

Rich Sources of Carbohydrates
Whole grains provide essential vitamins and minerals as well as a balanced source of sustainable energy. Dried beet pulp also provides an important and safe source of dietary fiber to help promote a healthy intestinal tract. Combined with cellulose, this natural fiber blend helps control hairballs by moving hair through your cat's digestive system.

Essential Vitamins & Minerals
Fortified with essential vitamins and minerals (including Taurine) and balanced to meet the needs of your indoor cat.

Additional Benefits
L-Carnitine is a nutritional supplement needed to release energy from fat. Formulated with quality ingredients to maintain low magnesium levels.

No By-Products
No Fillers
No Wheat
No Corn
No Growth Hormones
No Artificial Preservatives, Colors or Flavors
Ultramix Feline Indoor Cat Formula is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO Cat Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance.

It's definitely a good food. I'd willingly feed it to my gang. The only slight issues are the rice protein concentrate (grain as a protein source - not ideal for cat food) and brewer's rice (rice by-products that have minimal nutritional quality). But it's free of truly bad/scary ingredients and has a lot of good ingredients too.

The major problem with having freeze dried veggies not a part of the kibble is that if the cat only eats the kibble and avoids the veggies/fruits... he's missing vitamins :p

I agree with Sharky---this food seems way too high in carbs and fruits which are VERY un-necessary and can actually buffer the urine pH which isn't good.

Ideally, but unless you're feeding raw and are able to mix in only a few different veggies each day, you're kind of in a bind. Either veggies fruits in dry food, or chemically synthesized vitamins from a lab.. not sure which is better
