If you were a cat, what would you look like?

You've mentioned your deployment, where were you deployed to? I was deployed to Qatar in the Middle East just off the coast of Saudi Arabia

What was life like as a woman in the military? (I only ask because i grew up as an "Air Force brat" and my father forbade me from going into the service, event thru an academy.) It was a tough job, especially since my first year in I became a mother and then a single mother. That's taxing. Because you are expected as a military member to put service before self/and family. And I would often get into trouble if my daughter got sick and daycare because I had to leave work to go pick her up. Some of that changed when I married my DH.

How old are your kids? My daughter is 6.5. She'll be 7 in December. My son is 2.5, he'll be 3 in September.

Finally, are you feeling like you "fit in" here more lately? I'm starting to. Little by Little.

What did you do in the military? I was a Cardiopulmonary Labortatory Technician, I functioned in three different career fields, my deployed field was Respiratory Therapy...which I think is self explainatory. But I also worked in pulmonary function laboratory, doing breathing tests and also in cardiology doing your basic EKGs, Cardiac Stress testing and 24-48 hour holter monitors and sometimes Event monitors (which were both heart monitors worn while the patient was at home).

Why your nick? I know it was supposed to be Butterfly Dreamer, but what's the butterfly connection? It's interesting, to me, a butterfly is truly a magnificent bug, it transforms from an ugly caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. So I'm in the process of working on transforming myself into something better than what I started out as. It is my dream to go from the low self esteem, depressed, having nightmares person, to a happier and more centered woman. Self assured and proud.

What kind of births did you have? natural? c-sections?
I've had two births, both my children were c-sections, my daughter I was in labor with for 13 hours, I began to break a fever, and my heart was doing the heebie jeebies as was hers, so the decision was made at that time to either wait one hour and see or proceed with a c-section. I never dilated past 6.5 cm with her during the entire time. So C-section it was. Ended up first she was 8lbs 13oz and 20.7 inches long and secondly my amniotic fluid had somehow gotten infected. They noted it two things, failure to progress and large for date baby.

With my son, it was a scheduled c-section. I was basically asked by one OB doc that if IT was failure to progress the first time it was likely to be failure to progress the second time, especially if the baby I was carrying also ended up being over 8lbs.....sure enough, my son was born (1 week earlier than he was due by c-section) weighing 8lbs 3oz and 19.7 inches long. (and quite hairy.)

Favorite Buffy Episode? I loved the Musical but I have to also say that 'The Gift' and also the last three episodes of Season 6 were my favorites (Dark Willow).

Favorite Buffy Character? Willow, by far.

Favorite Buffy Moment? The Crayon Speech given by Xander on the Top of Blind Man's Bluff, that brought the rest of Willow's humanity back.

AND.....

Buffy and Angel OR Buffy and Spike? Honestly Buffy and Spike.....Angel ended up being more of a putz.

what is your heritage? (german, italian, etc) Heinz 57???!!!??? Actually my maiden name is German, I've also got some Native American heritage, and either Scottish or Irish in my background. As for specifics I don't know. I do have German hips, Native American eyes and cheekbones, and olive/white skintone and red undertones to my hair and freckles that make up my entire face.

what is your favortie memory? Three memories, the birth of my daughter, the day I met DH, the day I married DH, and the birth of my son (okay 4)

what little luxery do you allow yourself? Occassionally ummm....I haven't really allowed myself any luxeries as of late to be honest.....I feel that my obligations outway my own personal needs....Albeit DH disagrees with me....

what is your favorite place to go out to eat? Olive Garden!!!

what time do you usually wake up? 10am

what time do you usually go to bed? 2:30am-3am here lately

7. Who is your favorite super hero??? Superman, he looks darn good in those tights, course I'm talking the Dean Cain version, though this new one doesn't look half bad himself.

8. How many countries have you been to and which ones??? Let's see, been through Canada, had a stop over in Germany, Budapest, England, Bahrain, and Qatar.

9. If you were a fruit, which one would you be and why? Strawberries, cause they are both sweet, and tiny and perfection....mmm mmm.

10. What would your perfect day be like???? A day where I could sit back, relax, not have to worry about the kids or DH and just do what I wanted to do. No cleaning, no cooking, just whatever it is I want to do (which will NEVER happen but a girl can dream!!!)

What flavor of cheesecake is your favorite? Not a big fan, though I will occassionally get the Jello easy make cheesecake Strawberry...cause I love strawberries. But other cheesecakes seem too rich for me.
What is your favorite cut of jeans? I actually prefer capris...I'm limited though because I'm so overweight, that I can't buy all the cutesie jeans I'd like to buy....

If you can only wear one skin care product for the rest of your life, which would it be? See, I'm not one for too many skin care products...though I have to say I love Dove.

Okay, I have to answer this one back, just from one Buffy Fan to another.

Favorite Buffy Episode? Absolutely, Positively "Something Blue" Where Giles is blind and Buffy and Spike fall in love and get engaged, due to a spell Willow cast that went bad. I can watch it over and over it makes me laugh so much. I loved the musical as well. The demon in that one was SOOO talented. I really enjoyed his singing. And WHO KNEW Giles could sing so well! (I have always had a crush on Giles)

Favorite Buffy Character? Spike, through and through.

Favorite Buffy Moment? When Buffy and Spike are all kinds of smoochy and lovey in Giles' living room making plans for the wedding. EVERYONE in that scene cracks me up. I really enjoy the Buffy vs Dracula fight though too.

Buffy and Angel OR Buffy and Spike? Take a guess.

Well this one time, I was babysitting and I kept hearing this noise, checked the kids were sleeping...the coat hanger started to move then the upstairs started making noise (I would NEVER go to far in the attic of that place because there was a spot in the attic that was trembly).

If I get near where there are ghosts I get prickly and cold but hot at the same time and this weird buzzy feeling.
