hi! i've posted some questions in the health and behavior forums, so i thought i'd just stop by to introduce myself to the community!
i am a 22 year old, living in the bay area, with two cats about a year old. a siamese mix named thing 1, and a mix (she's half persian, half i'm not sure) named thing 2. they are named after the characters thing 1 and thing 2, from the dr. seuss book the cat in the hat!
thing 1 and thing 2 are really my first pets, and i've been taken aback by how much i feel they've improved my life. they brighten every day! i have many stress/anxiety issues, and my cats really have the ability to calm me down and help me through hard times. i think that taking care of them has been the biggest responsibility i've ever had, and being a good cat parent has made me more confident in myself.
i've really appreciated everyone's advice and support in the health and behavior forums, and look forward to getting to know you all better!
