Her Frankie still hasn't come back. They still have the kitten and she got all the needles for her. Her oldest cat Kari hates other kitties. She has attack the kitten once already. My aunt wants to get rid of Kari to the Humane Society but that was her mother cat. It isn't a good idea and plus she is an older cat, it would be too hard for her to get a home. I think she was abuse before my grandma got her. That is probably why she is the way she is. My aunt will get the kitten spayed and might have to give her to the Humane Society. I don't think it is worth spending all that money to get her fix. There is a chance that she might not get adopted right away. You just never know. I don't want to kitten getting hurt and plus Kari is bigger then her. What do guys think. Any advice, please reply. Thanks!

The kitten has a better chance of getting adopted...but I do believe it is worth the cost to have the kitten fixed. It would most likely make it more adoptable because the new owners would not have to pay for the surgery.

Plus there are low cost clinics all over the place to have it done for a cheaper cost.

I know the kitten is female and were we live my aunt would probably have to pay about at $300 dollar. It is more to get a female done then a male cat. It cost $75 dollar at the Humane Society clinic but they won't do it for her because she didn't adopted her from the shelter.

I am talking about a low cost clinic, not a regular vet.

I found this post on criagslist.com:

I got my male cat his needles for half price at Animal Vaccination Services @ 2432 Eglinton Ave E (416 752 8511 ).. for $40.00

I got my cat fixed at Toronto Animal Services 2696 Eglinton Ave W for 80% of the cost of other places. $40.00..... (416 338 6281 )the staff at both places are very nice and very friendly...

Read it here and you can email her for more information. $300 is absurd to pay for a spay.

OR you can call the Humane Society and ask them if they know of low cost clinics near you.

That is too much to get a cat done. The Humane Society only do cats that were adopted from the shelter. She cant get kitten done there. My aunt said she doesn't paying that much money.

Sometimes it is busy and other times it is not. It all depends. On weekends they do give there cats away for free. Kittens are first to get adopted and if my aunt gets her spayed. It would be alot better and she would get a home faster. That way people won't have to pay to get her spayed.
