I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not, but since it has to do with health...

I finally found a good food that PJ likes - Wellness. I haven't had a chance to price shop in my area (I have at least 1 store that carries Wellness), but I was curious about ordering food online, if that turns out to be less expensive. I'd be ordering both dry and canned, and have never done this before.

1. What are sites that you order food from?
2. Have you ever had problems with damaged shipments (busted bags, bad cans of food)?
3. Are there any risks to ordering online (i.e. if the shipment is on a hot truck all day, can my canned food go bad)?

Basically, what do I need to know if I'm ordering food for the first time online?

Thanks!

I order from Petfooddirect.com and haven't had a problem arise yet (hopefully it stays that way). The shipments have always arrived at room temperature, even when it is 90+ degrees outside. They ship with UPS ground.

I've bought food online from several different retailers and never had a problem.

Right now I am getting my Innova products from PetFoodDirect since no one near me carries it. If youn subscribe to their or some of the others newsletters before shopping there, they will often send you percentage off coupons in email that will help defray the cost of shipping.
