I'm sooo excited!

Mom and I went to the shelter earlier so she could see it, and I could show her the kitten (thread) and she ended up getting an adoption form! She said she'll "think about it" because it costs $80 to adopt a cat, and she doesn't really want to spend that much, but I think it's way more than worth it, because it includes spaying, vaccines, microchipping (if you want it), bathing, and coupons. So right now I'm about to go insane while she's deciding if we're going to adopt.



And some other good news.. I've been looking for a job for a while.. and about a month ago, we went into the small pet shop in our town, and I asked the lady working if they hired/were hiring anytime soon, and she said no. We went in again today, and she came over and asked if I was the person who asked about a job. I told her yes, and she said she was going to be needing help soon, and if I was interested, to come in Monday, and we'd talk. I can't wait!

Many good luck vibes for you, and hoping you get that job, that would be awesome!! Oh yeah, and your mom will adopt the kitty, I just know it!!

Maybe offer her if she gets one, you'll get her a second one to keep it company? That might make it seem like a sweet deal to her - plus two kitties will have a home and company.

That is a great price for everything being offer.

I'd like to, but right now I don't have any money.. hopefully I'll get this job. And even if I do, we have three cats already, and she's thinking four will be a little crazy.
She found an older ragdoll kitty that she wants, but I doubt she'll want a fifth kitty in the house.. especially since we have dogs. Good idea, though. Maybe I'll bring it up if I get the job.


I'll let you guys know if I get the job and what we decide about adoption!
Oh, and I filled out a volunteer application while I was there.. so hopefully I'll be hearing about that soon, too!

Ah, well, a new kitty wouldn't be short of buddies at least - good look with the job, volunteering and adopting! It sounds like you'll be busy for a while.

I really like the way you get out & make things happen! Asking for a job, signing up to volunteer -
your mom must be very, very proud of you! And you are such a good go-getter, I'll bet that your future bosses wish they could clone you!!

Things are going great! I can't wait to find out about this job tomorrow!
Actually, when I'm in school, I hardly ever tried to get a job.. mostly because seven hours at school is enough, and I didn't want to go do more work after that.. but I've been trying to get one so I could go to PA, and I wasn't having much luck. Volunteering was a lot different though.. I could spend alllll day at a place full of kitties and dogs.. playing with them for hours.
I am really excited about this job, though.. it's like, a two-minute drive from my house, it's small, and it's never really busy. I'm not much of a people-person, so it would be really good.
Now that I think about it, maybe that's why I'm not good at getting other jobs.. I'm always really shy/quiet around people in public..
