I just received a DVD drive in the mail that I ordered. I'm disappointed because it didn't say the system requirements were a Pentium 4 on the website I ordered from. I have a Pentium 3. Do you think it would be OK? Maybe just slower? I don't want it to crash my system or screw it up. If the DVD drive/burner is going to just be slightly slower I can live with it.

I have had other programs in the past that say they require a Pentium drive and I put it on with just a Celeron Processor on my lap top and it worked fine. Thank you.

I was wrong. I went up and did a system check. I do have the P4 as required. but it said I need 512MB ram and I only have 256MB. What problems do you think I might have because of this?

Lack of memory could make data transfer unbearably slow; possibly data loss. You should be able to do a memory upgrade at a relatively minimal cost (for computer stuff).

Yep, everything will just run slower.
Are these the minimum requirements or the recommended? I'm guessing recommended.

You should be able to buy another 256 MB (to equal 512) for about $30 from your local computer store.

Just be careful too...when you use don't have a gah-zillion programs opened up at the same time. If you're burning, just open the burning software.
