hey guys, havn't posted in a while. so latley, in the last maybe two days, i have more and more seen Zoe, my big male cat (11 months old), has been beating up on Haliey, my small female cat (6 months old). He has been bitting on her ears and today left a wound that started bleeding on the back of her ear, not that bad, but still, that wasn't kewl. They have both been fixed, and so he's not in heat or anything. does anyone have a sugestion of what i can do, or why he might be acting very mean and aggressive with her all of a suden, he's never done this to her before and they've been together since they where kittens.

I don't know why he may be aggressive towards a kitty he's lived with for months. We always use caution and take the cats for a vet visit any time they exhibit changes in behavior. This is the only way they have to communicate there's something wrong.

On the other hand, some extra attention and play time with Zoe may help the situation. We have one kitty that just has more energy than the others, and if we don't give him extra play time, he chases after the others to amuse himself.

If you decide not to take him to the vet but try the extra play-time, just keep an eye on Hailey to make sure the bite doesn't cause an infection and fever (which would need to be treated with antibiotics).
