There are thermomenters you can use via the ear not sure how good they are. But a sure sign of fever would be:

Lethargy

Behavior changes such as “crankiness”

Not eating or drinking

Hiding

Fever is easily diagnosed based on a rectal temperature. A body temperature over 103F is considered a fever

The ear thermometers are pretty accurate. I have one for human babies, and have done comparisons to rectal readings, as has my vet.

do the ear ones for babies work for cats? don't want to buy one for my cats, but cant' stand to do a rectal temp. LMAO never did it with my babies either.

none of my cats are acting sick and have posted a few times before about my one cat we thought may be preg. well she still hasn't had kittens OR gone into heat again. so not sure what is up with her. She sleeps ALOT more than she used to. she used to be very active and into everything, attacking (playing) with the other kitties (even though they didn't want to play with her. LOL) etc. now she sleeps, eats, comes for loves, might play for a few min and sleeps and sleeps. so was just wondering if there was any way to see if she had a fever.

She eats GREAT still and will JUMP up from sleeping and go chow down on food like she was starving. LOL she is drinking, going to the bathroom fine etc. only thing is she sleeps ALOT , and no heat cycle in almost 11 weeks (she isn't fixed yet as I was waiting to see if she was indeed pg.) but she was let out for 6 days and would be around 67 days from the day she came home. But she would have been in heat for about 9 days if she got pg. that day......... so almost sure it isn't a preg. keeping her from going into heat by now.
