My cousin sent me pictures of her husband and toddler making a 'Kitty Litter Cake' for the 4th of July. Her little boy thought it was the coolest thing ever. I asked her for the recipe and thought that some of the people here would be interested. It looks disgusting, but it's supposed to be really tasty.

For anyone interested in seeing her little boy helping make this, the link is here. Some really cute photos.

I would love to see if I could do clumps of like cinnimon and sugar inside the cake (to represent the pee balls you get from clumping litter).

Right along with dirt pudding, it's something kids love!
The tootsie rolls do add that right touch of realism!

batgirl2good/Bobbie does a variation she takes to her school. I think she leaves the cake whole or something.

Okay, I did a search and here's what Bobbie did. Her kitties are doing the talking. (This was in Paws & Reflect.)
Meowmy did it diffren this time. She dint mix the cakes an pudding. She put the layer of chocolater cak and a layer of vanilla cake and spred green pistachio puddin to top. THEn she crushed those vanilla sanwich cookies on top and spinkled with green sugar sprinkles and did the tootsie roll poop.

For lookingglass and Yarra,

It's the Tootosie rolls that makes it even more believable

I've had kitty litter cake before and loved it, but Jeremy had never seen one before.
He saw it and said no way

Since doing the litter box is his job, he said he'd only be compelled to clean it!

I actually considered making one and leaving the tootsie rolls out to make it seem a little more appetizing.
