Water purification?

My kitten seems to love drinking from several waterfall fountains I have throughout the apartment. Is there something I can add to this water to keep it clean enough so as not to hurt him?

I have the same exact problem. I have put mine up in higher places where Kiki can not get to them.

I would suggest looking into getting one of those kitty water fountains for your cat to drink from. I don't know for sure but maybe your kitty would stop drinking out of your fountains then. My cat has CRF so getting enough water is very important for her. I recently bought her one & let me tell you she has been drinking more water than she has in a long time. Don't know if one of those would help your situation, but my cat loves hers.

Just remember if you go with distilled water that that water lacks minerals that are vital to a healthy body (for animals and people).
