So I go out to tend my herb garden...

Top the plants, pull a few weeds.
My fingers smell like sweet basil now.

Apparently, the cats think this scent is way better than catnip.
All 6 are catnip responders, but they are going absolutely nuts over the smell of basil!
I've never seen them act this crazy over catnip.

Wonderful - I've just planted some sweet basil - I'll give it a try with my babies to see what they think.

The indoor/outdoor babies loved to sleep in my herb patch before I cleared it to put the herbs in pots.

Perhaps you've figured out a multi-million dollar cat industry idea!!

I just started an herb garden. I am so excited because the seeds are actually growing I have sweet basil so I will have to see how Dori reacts to it once it grows a bit more

Oliver loves catnip, but you should see the funny face he makes (as he backs away from me suspiciously) when I let him smell basil!
