Something bad happened last night - Page 2

How frightening!!! And bless you and your neighbors for helping her out!

I grew up in an area in Indiana that was well known for drugs and crime (can anyone name the song??). Before he passed away, my grandfather was robbed in his own home.

Even though I currently live in an area that has a lot less crime, I still sleep with a piece of lead pipe under my side of the bed.

Old habits are hard to break.

Thank God you are all alright... that is so scary. Maybe your dogs could sense that the man was on drugs, and not right... animals can sense things like that.

That is terrifying. I would have peed my pants right then and there. Thank God everyone is okay. Have you ever thought about moving Lot's of thoughts and prayers to you all. I hope he gets what he deserves, the (&(%R$$%^&#^!!

(guns don't kill people kill people) If the man was on PCP a bat or lead pipe might not have stopped him. I heard it gives them super strengths.Thank God everyone is allright.

YIKES! I'm glad that nothing happened to you or anyone on your block! What a horrifying ordeal. Honestly I can't imagine what possess people to take drugs. It's a stupid thing to do, just like smoking. It has horrible consequences and just makes everyone around you just not want to be around you. I hope they put his butt in jail for destruction of property and anything else they can think of.

Thanks, you guys have giving me a lot of good advice.

Joey, the police never talked to me, they didn't even come to my house. Thanks for all the info, I'm going to tell her what you told me.

Heather, my dogs started barking after the police came.

Maybe the dogs knew he was dangerous and didn't want to be hurt themselves.

What an ordeal! You and your neighbors are in my prayers. God was already protecting you.

As far as your neighbor's insurance - You may be able to help her by preparing a bill including all costs associated with the cleaning and repairs. If it exceeds the $1000.00 deductible, her insurance should kick in. Don't leave anything out - paint, landscaping, etc. should be restored to pre-loss condition.

Wow, I'm so glad you all are okay! Man, if I saw his head in my window I would be tempted to get something huge and just start beating the poop out of him! lol, knowing me I'd be too scared and hiding in a corner, though.

What an awful thing to have happen! I hope you can help your neighbor to feel safe again! Hugs to all!

OMG Tina! That's scary and terrible! Thank God you and your neighbor weren't hurt.

OMG, Tina! I'm so thankful you and she were not hurt. You're very brave, you know. You also have a very level head and kept your cool in a VERY tense situation. You can come live with us any time!

How are your neighbor and her hubby doing?
How scary! My boss recently had the same thing happen to him, this crazy crackhead broke into his house while he and his wife were sleeping, and he had to wrestle the guy to the ground and drag him out into the alley--and the cops took FOREVER to get there!
Have you thought about having an alarm system installed? We have one and, if nothing else, it gives me peace of mind, living in a city like we do.

Awww, thanks E. You are so kind.

LDG, my neighbor is doing better. A guy is coming tomorrow to fix her windows, as far as her husband he doesn't talk anymore, I'm not sure if he even knows what happened.

Thanks for asking about them

Wow, that's horrible..... I'm glad he fought the guy. After what happened I'm definitely thinking of getting an alarm system. My prayers are with your boss and his wife.
