OK as some of you may have read my thread the other day, we have been waiting for bloodwork results for Sylvester. Here they are.

The bloodwork showed Hyperthyroidisim. She says this can sause seizures and constipations, which she is having both. Of course they want me to bring her back for Urinalysis, bloodpressure and gets meds.........Of course thats more money
I feel better knowing what wrong, but damn i wish they didn't chatge so much.....I am going to tak her as oon as possible, i get paid tomorrow..so i think i can do it then.

Hopefully they won't find anything else. Thank you all again for all your support.

Jazz had hyperthyroidism. I know it can be controlled with medicine. She had the radioactive iodine shot a little over a year ago and has been good as new ever since. Good Luck, I will be sending {{{{{Healthy Vibes}}}}} to Sylvester
.

The docotor mentioned the radioactive thing, but really we just can't afford it, so we will have to go with meds.

Thankfully, it wasn't something more serious. Not that hyper-t isn't serious, but it can be controlled with medication. My tuxedo cat, Sophie, was diagnosed a year ago; she just turned 17, and really seems to have adjusted well. Hopefully, the vet's tests won't show anything else wrong with Sylvester and you can get her back on track.
Our vet has mentioned the radioactive iodine, also, but the nearest facility that does that procedure is 2 1/2 hours away.
Finding the right dosage for Sylvester will probably be trial & error for a bit, but hopefully she's soon be back to her old self.
(((big hugs))) to both of you, and good luck with the tests.
