So a about a month ago I adopted my second baby Scratch. He's had a rough life, going back and forth from the shelter to adoptive home twice. He's been really shy around my husband and I, just runnning around sniffing things hiding, and not really being all that catly. Well last night we experienced him turning into a cat! He gave chase, pounced, and stalked his brother. This is the first time I've seen him comfortable enough to be able to do this. I'm so happy that he is finally out of his shell.

That's great! I guess it just takes a long time for a cat like that to get comfortable enough to relax. Hopefully he'll soon be giving you cuddles.

That's great! Glad to hear that Scratch is finally making himself at home.

Aww! When we took Jaz in, she had been abused and was very un-catlike. I know how it feels to see them progress, the smallest improvements are wonderful. Congrats!!

What wonderful news! I'm working with 2 abused cats (one left behind in a house we began renting last month) and a stray who lives in the bushes behind the park (he's a young cat whose missing teeth & one/half of an ear is cut off) and I've noticed that they don't play at all.
The outside cat is getting friendly, though; I believe he was owned once although at first he just hissed & growled so I thought he was feral. Congratulations on Scratch!

He also decided that it was time to start sleeping with his brother. I woke up to a gray/black ball of fur with 8 paws and two heads that purred. I'm a happy camper.

Aw, the little sweety, he is starting to put more trust in the situation and in you. You should be so proud
