Last year the sound of fireworks only scared Dutchess, but this year it looks like Maggie's the one who's more scared.. we have them in my room until I go to sleep, and she's curled up on my bed.. in Lu's spot.

And with her spot gone.. Lu's resorted to the floor.. at the foot of the bed.

I will admit though.. if the neighbors keep up this noise all night, I'll never get to sleep..

Aww poor babies..
Jake isn't happy right now either.. He's barking at every pop and bang and pacing the house. Took him out to potty and he wouldn't leave my side. Now he's sitting on our bed like a guard dog staring at the window

I'm worried about taking Maggie and Dutchess out before I get in bed.. last year Dutchess ran away when she heard the popping, and it took three of us to catch her.. and I'm the only one still up. My eyelids are getting heavy..but it's sooo noisy.

poor little things

Tab hates fireworks too, what we tend to do is at night if we go out we sometimes put some music on so she can't hear it, and we keep her inside for the obvious reason lol.
If your dogs get scared you could try playing some music like we do, but I suppose it depends on how close and how loud they are...

That's kind of a neat idea. I've never thought of it, but I'll have to try that next time. The fireworks were right across the street, but I'm sure I could turn the tv on or something, to keep them distracted.
