This town is about 13 miles from me and always puts on a great show....but now they cant.

No firework show for a local town

That's terrible! I hope no one was hurt!
There are very few towns here that are having fireworks because of how bone dry it is. I know the baseball and soccer games are still having their shows, and the drag racing strip is still having theirs, but most of the localities have cancelled their shows.

It just happened today....and they had to life flight one of the workers to another hospital. They are waiting to see when and if they can re schedule the show.
How sad! The best fire works show in our area was cancelled because the county couldn't get insurance in time
Hopefully, communities that couldn't have fireworks displays have found other ways to sucessfully celebrate the 4th!
Sometimes it feels like the method has overcome the reason, just like the gifts sometimes overshadow the meaning of Christmas and Memorial Day events overshadow the remembering our fallen heroes.

Thank God no one was killed. That could've been a real tradgedy.... all those explosives, it's amazing that they all survived. The poor kiddo's though, being disappointed on the 4th.
Monday night at the race track you could see the surrounding area shooting them off and then all you saw was billowing black smoke! I didn't hear anyhting on the news about it but I hope it was noone's home!
