Recently my roommate brought home a male kitten (now about 9 or 10 weeks old) from a litter his friend's cat had. It took a little over a week for my cat (a spayed female of about 14 months old). They have been getting along great now, they play wrestle and chase each other all the time an curl up on my bed together and sleep.

Today however, I walked into the room and saw that the kitten, Athrun, was suckling at my cat, Boo.

My cat has been spayed for over two months now and she has never, ever been pregnant. I know for I have had her since she was 7 weeks old.

Boo seems pretty content when he is nursing or attempting to nurse. But my question is... could she be actually producing milk? I mean, they both seem content while doing this and Athrun obviously must be getting something because he hasn't exactly given up on it, which I would assume he would if there was no milk.

Is this healthy? Should I seperate them for a while? I don't know what to do.

I posted a reply in your other thread - anyway, don't worry about it, they are both enjoying each other's company. Its just a comfort thing.
