Urine PH level test strips

I was wondering if anyone on this site who has a male cat with known UTI problems uses test strips at home? I had asked my vet about these and he said they normally don't sell these to the clients. He told me to check with a pharmacy. The one pharmacy I called didn't have them, so I checked online. I found these online............

Does anyone else use these or something similar to monitor the PH level in their cat's urine? If so, do you find it helpful?

I have used them in conjunction with monitoring a dogs urine pH- they are very user friendly and fairly accurate. 'Course a dog is a bit easier to catch a urine sample from, but yes I have used them.
