When I picked up my daughter & 9mo grandson last week (I hadn't seen them since March), I asked her, "What kind of canned food does he like?" when in the baby food aisle. A couple of days later, he bumped his head on the coffee table and I asked her, "Do you want to take him to the vet?" She laughingly replied, "Only to show him off - not for treatment!".
Maybe I AM turning into a crazy cat-lady

If it makes you feel better my husband has clicked at me to get my attention, the same way he does to call the cats.

That's surely the sign of cat lady craziness! Just don't give him any catnip yet - wait till he's at least a year old for that!

I was outside gardening once and I started pulling the wrong thing and my sister clapped at me like she does to make the cats stop doing naughty things.

We all laughed ourselves silly.

in a pile of open toed shoes!
I kinda go the other way... I treat my kitty like she's a child. I swear if I could afford Kitty Daycare she'd be in it. I call the answering machine so she doesn't get lonely, then delete them when I get home. One time hubby heard the message and he says "babe, she's a cat." I said "don't talk about her like that, I don't want her to feel lonely..."
I know, I know, I need a padded room!
